hire. I look for trainers who are professional, represent knowledge, form, and
safety with clients. But most importantly a passion to help others achieve their
Health and Fitness Goals. Below is a little bit about our trainers here at Fitness
Together. We are excited to get to know you and help you reach your Health and
Fitness goals. Please let anyone of us know if there is anything more we can

A.A.S. Fitness Specialist at Lake Washington Technical College.
Fitness Together Certified. Resist-A-Ball certified. Adult and Child CPR Certified.
My interest for fitness started at a young age when I began to
compete in athletics. After spending the majority of my life as an avid basketball
and soccer player, I developed a sedentary lifestyle while attending college
to pursue a BA degree in education. As a result of my 30 lb weight gain and recognizing
the health concerns in my family history, I rededicated myself to fitness and
living a healthier lifestyle. With exercise and a passion for fitness, I was
able to lose the weight and was also an encouragement to my family, most of all,
my mother. While training her she began to see the benefits of exercise. After
losing almost 40 lbs, she told me she had never been happier and healthier in
her life. Seeing how this changed my mom’s life, she became an inspiration
and a big part of me realizing what I was called to do.
For the past four years I have dedicated myself as a trainer, sharing my experience,
knowledge and love for physical fitness. My vision to helping others is just
beginning. My job as a trainer is to listen and understand clients needs, help
them make attainable goals, keep them safe, stay motivated and most importantly
having FUN while doing it.
“Fitness, Health and People are my passion. I get the opportunity to
help improve people’s lives everyday. Nothing is more rewarding than that.”

Qualifications: AAS degree Fitness Specialist; Lake Washington Technical College
CPR/AED certified
My interest in fitness began when my parents signed me up for T-ball in kindergarten.
I played basketball the next fall, and continually played several sports a year
all the way through high school. My athletic career came to an abrupt end after
I graduated. Within a year I had gained a few pounds, starting having trouble
sleeping, and didn’t have the energy that I used to. Unhappy with my new
body and not having any sports to play, I started working out at a gym. After
a while, I had lost all my extra body fat, and was sleeping and feeling better
again.
When I was 22, I was offered a job coaching volleyball at a local high school.
At the end of the season awards banquet, the girls showed me how much I had inspired
and motivated them. Being able to share my love of sports and exercise with the
volleyball players made me realize what I wanted to do. I decided to go back
to school to get a degree in Fitness, so I could share with everyone the joy
and benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle. Being active and fit plays a major
role in having a good quality of life, and I’m excited to be able to help
other people achieve a healthier life through fitness. I work with clients to
provide an exercise program that creates success in achieving their own unique
health and fitness goals.
“It’s never too late to start exercising, you can improve your
health and fitness at any age.”

I have always been an active individual since the age of 10. I’ve played
numerous sports such as basketball, hockey and kickboxing. During my sophomore
year of high school came notoriously bad food choices and myself not being happy
with the way I looked. I took it upon myself to make a change in my body and
my food. Living on my own since I was 18 has taught me take care of my health
and body with the healthier food choices. I have taken the time in my life to
make a career in helping others change their lifestyles and attain the bodies
they desire. Being a personal trainer has given me the chance to help others;
it feels good to make people happy with themselves again.
“If being healthy and having a low body fat were easy, wouldn’t
everyone be satisfied with the way they look and feel?”

Julian Anderson - Personal Trainer
Certifications: ACE, CPR-AED
Experience: Nearly a years experience personal training as well as four years
weight room/ cardio instructor
I have been extremely active my entire life; playing various sports beginning
in elementary school and extending through high school and college. These have
ranged from baseball, to football and basketball. I currently participate in
Brazilian ju-jitsu and grappling through NWGA (Northwest Grappling Association).
Although constantly active, I was always the “scrawny” kid growing
up because of my lack of dietary and exercise knowledge. At the age of 19, I
began to grow increasingly interested in these subjects and started to workout
correctly and eat right for the first time in my life. Needless to say, this
resulted in a 40 lb gain of muscle and a huge confidence boost. Since then, I
have never looked back; continuing to educate myself in exercise science as well
as sports nutrition. Personal training has become a passion for me because I
find it extremely rewarding to help others reach their goals.
